London to host WFDB meet for first time in decade

World Federation of Diamond Bourses execs to meet in Hatton Garden.

London’s Hatton Garden is set to play host to a meeting of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) this month for the first time in more than 10 years.

The London Diamond Bourse, which is a member of the WFDB, will be the host for this annual executive meeting which will attract delegates from all over the world.

London Diamond Bourse president Harry Levy said: "This is a real opportunity for us to showcase why London is an integral part of the worldwide diamond industry.

"Pertinent issues will be discussed at this meeting and we are happy to be hosts to key individuals from all over the world."

London Diamond Bourse operations manager said that London has not played host to the annual executive meeting since 2002, and echoed Levy by saying that it will be a good opportunity to bring "the spotlight to Hatton Garden".

Last month Levy was honoured in the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2013 in association with the Company of Master Jewellers. He was selected as one of this year’s CMJ Business Big Shots
