Longines debuts shop-in-shop concept in Glasgow

Watch brand to move furniture into more stores in run up to Xmas.

Swiss watch brand Longines has embarked on its shop-in-shop campaigns in the UK, taking over Fraser Hart in Glasgow with the first of the brand’s ‘super corners’.

The Glasgow store has welcomed the shop-in-shop furniture, becoming "the only dedicated boutique” in the city to sell the watch brand. The super corners are large-scale shop-in-shop features.

Noel Coyle, chief executive of Fraser Hart said: “Fraser Hart are delighted to partner with Longines in opening the first and only dedicated boutique in Glasgow.

“Longines is one of the top three luxury watch brands in the world, combining great style, elegance and craftsmanship with precision and technical excellence. The Fraser Hart Longines experience will offer the widest selection of Longines watches available in Glasgow, a luxurious environment and the most helpful and knowledgeable staff.”

Coyle says that Longines recognised Fraser Hart’s commitment to “delivering excellence in product quality” alongside the quality of its customer service and shop environment.

The furniture is made in dark wood with cream shelving and backing. Its ambassador, the acrtress Kate Winslet, is also an integral part of the furniture, posing in the brand’s Dolce Vita advert.

The launch of the shop-in-shop furniture has been described as a very exciting time for Longines, which has this week launched a space in Goldsmiths in Westfield, London. It will roll out the furniture across its stockists in the UK in the run up to Christmas.
