Lucy Quartermaine claims videos have driven sharp increase in overall sales

Award-winning British jeweller Lucy Quartermaine claims to have recorded a notable spike in summer sales after securing a better-than-expected performance in August.

The business reported a 400% increase in sales from its website compared to July this year, in addition to a 115% year-on-year increase. It did not give details of its sales figures, however.

While August is usually a quiet month for ecommerce, due to summer holidays, designer Quartermaine believes new imagery and catwalk videos were behind the spike in the brand’s overall orders.

Quartermaine, who was crowned the NAJ’s Jewellery Designer of the Year 2016, said: “It really shows that our innovative videos are helping the customer to make the all-important purchasing decision and that my bold designs and high quality pieces are striking the right chord with our consumers.

“I’m sure too that winning the NAJ Designer of the year award towards the end of last year has also had a significant impact on sales as it’s a vote of confidence from experts in the jewellery field.”
