LucyQ founder and designer Lucy Quartermaine has created a collection of pieces to raise funds for Kidney Research UK.
Quatermaine has a personal connection to the charity, having watched her sister receive life-saving treatment and a kidney transplant from her father in recent years.
The new collection, including a ring, earrings, pendant and cufflinks, is crafted in highly-polished sterling silver studded with Swarovski crystals
The limited edition collection will be available to purchase from the LucyQ website and through selected independent retailers from March 31. 20% of the sale price of each piece will be donated to Kidney Research UK.
Quatermaine explains: “This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. My sister received such wonderful care during her illness and transplant that I felt compelled to give something back. Using my jewellery design skills to create this limited-edition collection seemed like a creative and tangible way to give much-needed support to Kidney Research. I hope that the profit from this collaboration will help fund crucial research and therefore benefit others suffering from kidney disease.”
Kidney Research UK is the largest funder dedicated to kidney research and kidney problems in the UK. The money they raise goes directly into research into the causes and prevention of kidney disease, to help over three million people in the UK at risk of the illness.
