Maker Mends Ltd and David Lewis Manufacturing Ltd have announced the merging of the two companies, both service providers for the jewellery and watch industries.

Lewis, who took full control of Maker Mends in October 2013, explains: “The merger will improve the internal operations of the business. With major new clients engaged I am very excited for the future prospects of the company".

The merged company will retain the name of Maker Mends, combining Lewis’ 40-years experience in the business.

DLMJ was founded in 1979 after Lewis completed a five-year apprenticeship in London’s Hatton Garden. Maker Mends followed later in 1999 and grew into the largest jewellery and watch service provider in Europe, as well as a jewellery manufacturer for various designers and diamond merchants.

Going forward, Maker Mends will exhibit at the JCK show in Las Vegas in May.
