Marchesa to launch bridal jewellery collection

Couture fashion house to partner with Prestige Jewelry International.

Fashion house Marchesa has teamed with Prestige Jewelry International to launch a 20-piece fine jewellery collection to complement its bridal couture range.

The company’s first jewellery collection will be launched in winter 2014 on a license agreement with US and UK-based manufacturer and importer Prestige Jewelry International.

The bridal-inspired collection will focus on engagement rings and wedding bands, but will also offer stud earrings, pendants and solitaire stones. Retail prices will range from $2,000 (£1,189) to $20,000 (£11,896), rising for statement pieces.

After the initial launch the collection with expand in spring 2015 with the introduction of fashion fine jewellery. Pieces will reflect the Marchesa signature design aesthetic, translated in necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings, incorporating coloured gemstones and diamonds.

The first two collections will debut exclusively at Macy’s stores across the United States and on macys.com in November 2014, before expanding on a global basis.

Chief executive officer of Marchesa, Edward Chapman, commented: “We are thrilled to expand the Marchesa brand into the fine jewelry arena, applying Georgina and Keren’s aesthetic to this important category.

"We have always had a vision for Marchesa to be a lifestyle brand, and this launch is a natural next step for us, and for our design philosophy.”
