High fashion giant Marchesa unveils jewellery line for AW15

A look at Marchesa's debut jewellery line.

Luxury fashion label Marchesa has announced a licensing agreement with NWH Jewelry Group to launch a jewellery line for AW15.

The fashion jewellery has been designed to complement the Marchesa Couture and Marchesa Notte collections.

British duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are the designers behind Marchesa which was founded in 2004 is known for its gowns and intricate floral motifs.

Chapman says: “This season, the ready-to-wear collection has a 1920s influence, harkening back to the decadence and carefree attitude of the time.”

NWH Jewelry Group has translated Marchesa’s detailed textiles into jewellery pieces.

Craig explains:“3-D chiffon poppies are remade in bold enamel, and fringe tassels are highlighted on statement necklaces and earrings.”

Materials used in the new jewels include pearls, crystals, cubic zirconia and semiprecious accents, with prices ranging up to £400.

“Marchesa is an incredibly well-respected and relevant brand in the fashion space, so it is an exciting opportunity to partner with them and extend that vision into the jewellery category,” adds Fran Lukas, group president of NWH Jewelry Group.

UK Distributor TLKE will be showing Marchesa at IJL this year along with their other brands Anne Klein, Nine West, Judith Jack and Lonna and Lilly.
