CMJ diamond jewellery brand upbeat about growth in 2011.
Sales at MasterCut Diamonds more than doubled in 2010.
Sales of the diamond jewellery brand, which is exclusive to buying group the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ), soared 112 percent year on year in 2010. The brand is now stocked at 49 retailers.
James Maxwell, managing partner of 21st Dimension, which produces and manages MasterCut, said he was delighted at the result. He added: “Retailers [stocking MasterCut] have shown great resilience in the face of a challenging trading environment in 2010. The strength of their businesses has been instrumental to the success of MasterCut.”
Maxwell said he expects the brand to achieve “significant growth” in 2011.
MasterCut will be showing new collections at The Jewellery Show at Spring Fair as part of the CMJ stand. The brand said that its jewellery, which features diamonds designed by Jean Paul Tolkowsky, will continue to focus on the bridal and “gift of love” sectors.
MasterCut diamonds have 89 facets, 32 more than a traditional round brilliant diamond, and have a star faceted into the culet that directs light through the crown and table creating a visible star effect. Retail prices for MasterCut diamond jewellery range from £750 to £16,500.
