Figures to date in 2010 already surpass entire sales in 2009.
Diamond jewellery brand Mastercut has reported that sales in the early months of 2010 have already surpassed figures for the whole of 2009.
The diamond jewellery brand developed by Tolkowsky, which is exclusive to buying group Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ), has added ten new stockists in 2010 and is the fastest-growing brand within the CMJ.
CMJ Mastercut brand ambassador Helen Dimmick said: “2010 sales to date have already surpassed the entire year’s sales figures for 2009. Many retailers have been reporting that although it wasn’t necessarily a diamond Christmas, Mastercut sales were outperforming other diamond sales.
“Retail sell-through has been considerably higher than expected, especially given challenging sales conditions, with many retailers now only replenishing their Mastercut diamonds over generic diamond stock.”
