Independent Boston jeweller takes home local prize.

Maude’s the Jewellers in Boston, Lincolnshire, has scooped a coveted local business prize after more than 36 years in the town.

The independent family business is said to have developed a strong presence “as a business that offers excellent customer service and care” in Boston. It was awarded the Business of the Year award 2012 at the Boston Business Awards.

Manager and founder Andrea Maude said: “Winning the Boston Business Award for Best Business of the year 2012 is not only hugely important to us but to the whole town. It shows that a lot of hard work, dedication and passion over the past 36 years have gone into this small independent retailer.

“We are delighted at the recognition. It was a very emotional evening as I really didn’t expect we would win, however, I’m very proud of my whole team and thankful to all of my supportive and loyal customers.”

The jeweller also recently hosted a store event for Coeur de Lion jewellery, inviting customers to an evening showcase of the brand’s AW12 range.

Customers enjoyed canapés and glasses of champagne and, to coincide with Coeur De Lion’s 25th anniversary, a limited-edition necklace and bracelet set from the Swarovski Elements collection was given away as a prize in a grand draw on the night.
