Men arrested following Winchester jewellery shop armed robbery

Three men have been arrested following an armed robbery at Justice Jewellers on Parchment Street in Winchester.

Police were called shortly after 9:00am following reports of a raid at the shop, and a quantity of jewellery was taken in the robbery.

Speaking to the BBC, eye witness John Stafford described seeing two armed men being challenged by police. “They just told him to get on the floor, [and shouted] ‘we’ve got you surrounded’, arms down,” he said.

The  three men were detained and are currently in custody.
