The independent West Midland’s retailer Acotis has joined The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ), calling it “the most professional buying group” in the UK.

The company, which operates two shops in Birmingham and Wolverhampton, was established online in 2005, with its first shop opening in 2008. The company stocks some of the country’s best-selling brands, including Swarovski, Hot Diamonds and charm specialist Thomas Sabo, for which it is one of the biggest independent stockists.

Helen Caddick, business development manager at Acotis, said the firm had been aware of the CMJ for “a while” but only decided to join the group after discussing the benefits with other member retailers.

“We are not old-school jewellers, so the experience and knowledge we can gain as ‘newbies’ from The CMJ will be invaluable to us,” she said.
