Glasgow retailer reports shoppers staying longer and spending more.
Scottish jeweller Rox has reported a 60% increase in turnover since implementing its new store design.
Rox completed a £1 million refurbishment at its Argyll Arcade branch in Glasgow and since then has noted a significant uplift in sales despite a dip in footfall at the Arcade of 23%. The retailer has also registered a rise in average transaction value of 45%.
The refit of the shop was carried out by Graven Images, the same design agency that has worked on Missoni’s hotel venture. The revamped shop includes a champagne bar in the upper level, which Rox has dubbed its Thrill Room.
Rox managing director Kyron Keogh said: “We went all out with the expansion of our Argyll Arcade branch to provide our customers with a unique shopping experience. Together with the level of customer service we can provide, the revamped store has not only increased footfall but resulted in people staying twice as long in the store and spending more.”
