My Flash Trash Mall to allow designers to sell direct to customers.
Online jewellery boutique My Flash Trash has launched a new platform called My Flash Trash Mall, giving designer-makers the opportunity to sell directly to consumers in a similar way to Etsy.
The new platform has been designed in collaboration with the social creative team behind Bleach salon, and built by the tech team behind Asos marketplace.
Jewellery designers will be able to open their own shop in the ‘Mall’ and sell direct to My Flash Trash’s 70,000 monthly web visitors.
Me & Zena and Delilah Dust are amongst the range of new and established jewellery designers from around the world set to open a store this week.
My Flash Trash chief executive officer and founder Amber Atherton, who was also honoured in this year’s Professional Jeweller Hot 100, commented: “We’ve removed all the barriers to entry and really streamlined the tech into a platform that’s much more agile and scalable.”
My Flash Trash will continue to sell the brand’s popular own label Flash Trash Girl, as well as FunkyOffish, Victoria Young and soon WAH Nails.
Now open for applications, the buying team has a 24 hour review process before designers can officially open their store.
Atherton continues: “Even more exciting is our marketing area giving designers access to press, buyers and stylist databases as well as video tutorials with bloggers, journalists and manufactures- all the tools they need to take a firm handle on scaling their operation themselves.”
