NAG to host jewellery marketing conference

Event to focus on strategies and issue relating to jewellery industry.

The National Association of Goldsmiths (NAG) is set to host a one-day conference in London tailored to jewellery firms seeking to developing their business and marketing strategies.

The event, titled Achieving Your Potential: Business and Marketing Strategies, will take place on March 19 at Kings Place, Kings Cross, and replaces the annual NAG Council Meeting.

The Association hopes the event will be the first in a series featuring industry professionals, covering key issues including branding, sales and marketing, the watch market and visual merchandising.

Attendees will be taught how to integrate new products into their stores and how best to work with branded jewellery and watch suppliers, while the challenges of marketing product and stores will be covered, alongside insight into the UK watch market.

Confirmed speakers for the day include Judith Lockwood of Ti Sento, advertising agency House Creative’s Christine Colbert, Debbie Barrow of customer service training firm Virada, Jonathan Hedges of GfK Retail, Simon Walker of Hirsch and Michael Donaldson of The Value Innovator.

A statement from the NAG said: "If you are responsible for delivering sales performance, developing marketing strategies or creating key eye-catching displays, including business owners, store managers, marketing leads and key sales staff, then you should consider attending this inaugural conference".

The event will begin at 8:45am on March 19, with places available by booking through the NAG.
