Netflix of jewellery arrives at Old Street Station

Glitzbox, the UK’s first jewellery rental subscription, has launched its first ‘pop up parlour’ at Old Street Station this August to introduce London commuters and tourists to the innovative concept.

Taking over unit 3, the area in the station has been transformed into a dazzling jewellery venue to catch the eye of those passing by.

Inside, consumers are invited to discover a new way of shopping jewellery – with the option to buy or borrow all of the jewellery at a fraction of the retail price!

Glitzbox launched earlier this year with an aim to shake up the women buy and discover jewellery from independent designers across the UK.

Creating a unique platform, Glitzbox offers customers a monthly service where they can receive a unique box containing three high quality pieces of jewellery, specially selected for them based on their personal preferences quiz. Customers can then chose to purchase pieces in their box, or simply return the box in time to receive their next personalised box.

Founder Tamsin Ivy gained her business experience supporting the growth of small jewellery businesses for leading personalised gifting website ‘Notonthehighstreet.com’. She became convinced there were opportunities in the market – a need to bridge the gap between online and offline for brands, and an option for women to refresh their quality jewellery regularly without huge expense.

Aware that beauty subscription services were giving brands the chance to break through in a very competitive market, she felt the same could be done for both emerging and established jewellery designers. So she created Glitzbox – a business that makes unique, quality jewellery accessible to women everywhere.

Glitzbox’s currently has eight independent designers, all of which will be showcasing their newest collections at the Old Street pop up, alongside a guest designer who will be hand stamping on the spot.

The company will also offer a 25% of subscriptions to anyone who visits the parlour.

Glitzbox is also partnering with some beauty, flower and alcohol start-ups to provide customers with an interactive event full of competitions, giveaways, workshops and more!
