New brand Livyora to launch in UK with animal line

Storytelling brand to showcase gold and gem lines at J&WL.

New fine jewellery brand Livyora is set to launch in the UK trade this month, showcasing its collections at Jewellery & Watch London at the Saatchi Gallery.

The brand is founded on the concept of storytelling through jewellery and will bring its new Vita collection to the show, with pieces crafted in 18ct gold and set with gemstones such as sapphires, tsavorites, citrines and black diamonds. The brand takes inspiration from literature, art, music and pop culture, with the Vita collection set to reveal an animal theme. Its pieces have RRPs upwards of £6,000, with designs handmade in India.

Livyora has chosen the UK show to present collections to the wider trade, in a bid to build a portfolio of retail stockists. The brand originally launched in India but hopes to become UK and London-centric, targeting a range of retailers including high-end department stores and independent multibrand retailers holding fine jewellery collections.

The brand was founded by entrepreneur Chirdeep Chhabr and corporate venture specialist Dr. Shefaly Yogendra, both of whom work across the UK and India.

They are joined by Livyora managing director Tarudeep Vaid – a gemmologist and jewellery designer who has worked in the industry for more than a decade, with roles as head of Gemmology Headquarters International in India.

The group work collaboratively to design each collection, beginning with a theme and then bringing together ideas to form pieces in a contemporary style. Livyora’s first collection, Overture, is a capsule collection that pays homage to Mughal architecture, drawing inspiration from Byzantine, Moorish, Fatimid, Persian, Turkish and Indian design styles.
