NAG’s Margaret Harris chosen to cut ribbon on Felixstore retailer.

Retailer Hills of Felixstowe has unveiled a new-look shop after 18 months of refitting and renovations.

The shop, established in 1925, has undergone a major refit with new windows, display cabinets, building alterations, flooring and lighting, all of which has been replaced or updated over the past 18 months.

The ribbon was cut on the new store by the president of the National Association of Goldsmiths (NAG) Margaret Harris, with the retailer offering 20% off certain items on the day, as well as a prize draw and refreshments for visitors.

Hills manager Paul Harris-Magri said: “Even though we had some major works we stayed open right up until the floor was laid."

The retailer has been in situ for 85 years, and aims to provide industry knowledge with jewellery from brands including Thomas Sabo and Nomination, who have shop in shop spaces within the new space.
