International Jewellery London (IJL) has announced its list of seminars to be held at September’s show, with a focus on watches and watch retail following the addition of a dedicated watch section at the show.
Described as “a fantastic opportunity for retailers, designers and manufacturers”, the free seminars have been organised to give attendees a chance to discover more about a particular subject. Running on a first-come-first-seated basis, there will be numerous talks focused on watches at this year’s show.
WatchPro editor-in-chief Rachael Taylor will host a seminar looking at improving watch retail through marketing tricks. The discussion, which is titled How to Boost Watch Sales through Telling Tales, will bring together experts in the watch field to discuss how retailers can cash in on the huge marketing budgets of watch brands by aligning shop windows with world stage events and bringing that watch world glamour to the local high street.
Further watch seminars at IJL include a focus on the watch market, hosted by market research agency GfK’s Jonathan Hedges, an expect in the watch and jewellery markets. He will discuss how to spot trends and use particular features of watches to drive sales.
The founders of Benchpeg will also be on hand to discuss the virtues of using social media to drive consumers to your website or into your stores.
