Cross-dressing thieves grab pad of rings from Cornish Stone Company.
Newquay retail jeweller Cornish Stone Company was robbed on Friday by men wearing women’s dresses.
Devon and Cornwall Police said one male grabbed a pad of rings from a member of staff before holding an object to her head, enabling him to escape with the pad containing two gold and aquamarine rings valued at £470.
The raid took place at about 4pm on Friday at the jewellery shop on the city’s Bank Street.
Two of the three black male robbers in their 20s wore dresses during the attack on Cornish Stone Company, but were later spotted changing into all-black outfits.
Police are currently appealing for witnesses.
