Nublue launches new T. H. Baker website


Lancashire-based digital company Nublue has launched a newly rebuilt website for the national jewellery retailer T. H. Baker.

As a retail brand using Magento, the world’s number one ecommerce platform, T. H. Baker decided to work with Nublue in 2014 based on their experience and track record in Magento development.

Since winning T. H. Baker’s web development contract, Nublue have also carried out extensive rebuild work for the group’s sister brand The Jewel Hut – for which they’ve been shortlisted for a Digital Entrepreneur Award this November, alongside household brands such as BBC, Vax, Feefo and GlaxoSmithKline.

Continuing their development work across T. H. Baker group’s websites, last week Nublue relaunched a newly redesigned version of the brand’s main site after comprehensive quality testing. The new site now features a variety of additions designed to give T. H. Baker the edge in terms of performance, and in the way customers use and experience the site.

During the redesign and rebuild project for, Nublue has:

  • Worked closely with T. H. Baker during the complete redesign of their site, optimising their design for a high-end user experience – and ensuring that their client’s visual assets and navigation actively complemented web development behind the scenes
  • Created a custom Magento coordination centre across the group’s websites, so that staff can manage all customers, orders, products and important information quickly and efficiently from one central hub – saving T. H. Baker time and money
  • Upgraded their web servers to prepare their website to handle large customer numbers, especially during the busy festive shopping period
  • Provided significant improvements in traffic flow and traffic management, streamlining page data for faster load times and less demand on their servers – even at peak times
  • Supplied tailored products and services as well as personalised support, including out-of-hours support in case of emergencies.
