Omega opens 7th UK standalone shop

Watch brand continues retail expansion with London boutique.

Omega has opened a new boutique in London on the city’s Regent Street.

The two-floor shop is the Swiss watch brand’s seventh standalone boutique n the UK. It offers a mixed range of new and classic Omega timepieces, jewellery and a range of Omega branded leather goods.

Omega president Stephen Urquhart said: “We are delighted to continue our expansion in the UK and our new flagship boutique on Regent Street demonstrates what an important market this is for us.’’

The 233sqm premises houses a watch repair workshop and a VIP area for clients and guests. To mark the brand’s involvement with the London 2012 Olympics as Official Timekeeper the brand has installed an LCD screen on the ground floor that displays a continuous countdown to the games.

The interior of the shop, which benefits from a light and bright atmosphere created by the full glass frontage, has been created by Omega’s in-house design team. Features in the shop include broken glass-style display units, champagne- and cream-coloured walls, cream chairs and a porcelain floor.

Omega also has standalone boutiques at The Royal Exchange in London, Westfield London, Terminal One at Heathrow airport, Brown Thomas in Dublin, The Trafford Centre in Manchester and Old Bond Street in London.
