Pair arrested after robbery at Inverness jeweller

Essex Police have been alerted about the robbery and are looking into the incident.

Thieves escaped from The Steeple Jewellers with £5,000 of rings.

A man and a woman have been arrested following a robbery at The Steeple Jewellers in Inverness.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Stirling in connection with the alleged robbery and a 29-year-old woman appeared at Inverness Sherriff Court last week in connection the same incident.

The robbery took place at Steeple Jewellers on Bridge Street in Inverness last Tuesday at about 1.30pm. The thieves are believed to have stolen rings worth £5,000.

The female suspect, Mandita Anghel from Dumfermline, appeared in court yesterday and made no plea or declaration. Police said that a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in connection with the arrest of the male suspect.
