The Professional Jeweller Awards 2017 has been created for the industry, and will be judged by the industry.
The nomination process will be divided into two halves, both of which allow the industry to get involved and find this year’s worthy winners.
First of all we would like to kick-start the voting process by inviting all jewellery industry professionals to nominate retailers, brands and suppliers for the respective categories. These can include self nominations.
To have your say, simply email Professional Jeweller editor Stacey Hailes at email@example.com with your nominations.
There is no limit to how many nominations you can put forward. For each entry though please state the award category and nomination, and provide a brief explanation for your suggestions and contact details for the nominee.
Professional Jeweller will then create a shortlist for each category that will then be put to the vote.
To find this year’s shining stars in the industry, all jewellery brands and wholesalers will be asked to vote through a private survey for the retailers that have impressed them most; while retailers will take part in a separate private survey to identify the brands that have served them best in the last 12 months and that they feel are leading in the market today.
“This is a unique process for the UK. We are not looking to identify the greatest jewellery on sale today, we are searching for the individuals and teams that have created the greatest jewellery businesses in this country,” comments Professional Jeweller editor, Stacey Hailes on the judging process.
She adds: “The voting system ensures that these businesses are subjected to the forensic scrutiny of their peers in the industry with retailers voting for the brands and wholesalers they most admire, and the brands and wholesalers voting for the best retailers. There can be no more reliable jury than the hundreds of executives that do business with each other throughout the entire year.”
