Premier jewellery exhibition and magazine forge landmark partnership.

International Jewellery London has joined forces with Professional Jeweller in a landmark partnership that will dramatically enhance communications for the UK’s premier trade show.

IJL 2011, which takes place from September 4-7 at Earls Court in London, will be the only UK jewellery exhibition at which exhibitors and visitors will benefit from a daily newspaper and digital news alerts created by the same team that brings you Professional Jeweller and Professionaljeweller.com.

IJL organiser, Reed Exhibitions Ltd, is investing heavily in making the show bigger and better than ever this year and believes the addition of a Show Daily will add to the unique appeal of the exhibition. “IJL is the UK’s most established, premier jewellery event, with the largest selection of jewellery specific exhibitors and more leading, high-end manufacturers than any other UK trade event,” says Sam Willoughby, International Jewellery London event manager. “The Show Daily, created by the hugely respected Professional Jeweller team, will greatly help exhibitors and visitors use their time effectively and profitably at this year’s exhibition,” she adds.

Rachael Taylor, editor-in-chief for Professional Jeweller, will lead the team creating what she promises will be an instant hit with everybody at IJL. “A show of the size, importance and stature of IJL needs a Show Daily to help visitors identify the hottest news and events while they are at the show. For exhibitors, it is a chance to make an instant splash with a new launch or strategic announcement,” she explains

A completely fresh edition of the Show Daily will be created every day by a team of journalists, photographers and designers who will operate from a custom-built news room on site at the exhibition.

“This gives the Show Daily incredible impact. Our team might spot a story in the afternoon of Day 1, write the story that evening, and have it into print in time for the exhibition opening the following day. Our parent company, ITP Publishing Group, has been doing daily newspapers for exhibitions around the world for many years and we have seen how much visitors and exhibitors love and value this service,” said Taylor.

The Official Show Daily will be available to every visitor as they enter the exhibition. A digital edition will be distributed to the electronic mailing lists of both IJL and Professional Jeweller – a massive reach of tens of thousands of jewellery and watch executives for every day of the show.
