Entomology-inspired jeweller goes international with retail stockists.
Jewellery brand Rachel Boston has won online retailer My-Wardrobe and British fashion brand Paul Smith as stockists in a move that will increase the brand’s presence overseas.
Rachel Boston, the eponymous designer behind the brand, said she is thrilled with the news. Her collections feature insects and beetles translated as rings and pendants, as well as bracelets designed using cast scorpion stings and hoop earrings that feature insect legs.
Boston told Professional Jeweller: "My-Wardrobe is an amazingly curated site with designers from Acne to Vivienne Westwood, so to have my jewellery sit alongside such luxurious labels in the fashion world is incredible. [It also] delivers all over the world so my collection will be exposed to a much wider audience which is very important for me to progress my business further.
"Gaining Paul Smith as a stockist is also hugely exciting as it such a quintessentially British brand with a massive global consumer reach."
Boston’s collections will sell at Paul Smith‘s new flagship stores in Melbourne and Amsterdam, both new territories for the brand.
She was approached by My-Wardrobe, describing its new fashion director Carmen Borgonovo, previously Harper’s Bazaar senior fashion editor, as a fan of my brand.
My-Wardrobe is set to stock selected pieces Rachel Boston’s collection The Protector. Boston was recently a finalist in the Professional Jeweller 2013 Treasure competition.
