Jewellery brand has plans to exhibit at international shows in 2014.

Rachel Galley Jewellery is set to develop fine jewellery collections for release in 2014 to support the brand’s international expansion plans.

The brand’s founder Rachel Galley said that she believes creating fine jewellery lines will help her break into international markets as it will give buyers confidence in the brand.

Galley said: “If I did a show like Couture in Las Vegas buyers would expect to see higher end products. I think if buyers have got that quality guarantee that you can do diamonds and precious gemstones then the silver will sell itself. I’m known for silver but I can do fine.”

The designer has worked on many fine jewellery commissions in the past but has not shared them with the market as the jewellery has been created for private clients.

Galley, who was a Tresor Paris Trendsetter in the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2012, said she is now considering which international trade shows to take part in, something that will happen in 2014. She is considering both jewellery shows and fashion shows as she feels that her latest collection launch Venom, which was created in collaboration with Meg Matthews, will appeal to fashion boutiques.

Another part of Galley’s plan to break onto the international jewellery scene is through celebrity product placement. The designer is now in talks with a celebrity fixer to get her work seen on the right people in the right places.

Rachel Galley Jewellery has 60 stockists in the UK. The brand will be exhibiting at The Jewellery Show in Birmingham in February.
