Rachel Jeffrey works with local indies to celebrate 10 years in jewellery business

Rachel Jeffrey 10th

Rachel Jeffrey is celebrating her 10th anniversary in business this weekend with a two day community festival of jewellery competitions, presentations and games.

The Wheathamptead-based jeweller is working with more than 20 local businesses so that visitors to her store can enjoy games to win limited edition jewellery, plus gifts from independent shops including Rebecca Clark Spa, Lush, Fuchsia Pink Florist, The Dressing Room and That Design Store.

Cocktails are being created by local bar Mokokos and cupcakes baked by Heaven is a Cupcake.

The Rachel Jeffrey team will also be putting on jewellery-making demonstrations throughout the weekend of June 20-21.

To celebrate her anniversary, Jeffrey has created a new range of bumble bee pendants. A limited number of just six pieces are being made with gold plate. “But a whole hive of bee pendants comprising of solid silver, silver and gold and diamonds are just waiting to get out,” Jeffrey jokes.

“Since moving into the Mill in 10 years ago we have worked to integrate the business into the Wheathampstead community through customer interaction and our involvement in charity campaigns. This event will be my way of saying thank you to our loyal customers who have supported me over the last decade,” Jeffrey told local newspaper The Herts Advertiser.
