Reed Exhibitions, owner of International Jewellery London and JCK, has announced it has purchased Jewelers International Showcase (JIS), which operates three hugely popular Miami-based trade events.
Reed Exhibitions will now be responsible for the three JIS Miami shows (pictured), including the annual JIS Miami show in October, according to a report in US-based trade title, JCK.
The current president of the event will stay on in an advisory role, while Jordan Tuchband, currently vice president of sales and operations for JIS, will join Reed as industry vice president for JIS Events.
Senior vice president of JCK Events, Yancy Weinrich, told JCK: “This is an exciting opportunity to expand our jewelry portfolio, offering our customers broader reach to retailers in the Caribbean and Latin American markets. The JIS events offer a unique opportunity for buying and will continue to deliver enhanced customer value and a broader pool of retailers in this growing market.”
Reed Exhibitions is the largest event organiser in the world with 500 events in 43 countries.
