Russian diamond company joins BJA

Ethical Windiam joins group as it plans to increase UK business.

Russian diamond supplier Windiam has joined the British Jewellers’ Association (BJA) as it plans to strengthen its business in the UK.

Windiam supplies ethically sourced diamonds that are mined, cut and polished in Russia. While the diamonds are 2 percent to 3 percent more expensive than the general market price, the company claims that the stones are of a superior quality than most, and due to the short supply chain from mine to market it can easily verify the ethical credentials of the diamonds.

It also offers a free diamond sizing service and can provide customers with parcels of exact sizes of diamonds, useful for techniques such as pave, saving diamond setters time.

Windiam is an international company with a head office in Antwerp and 24 selling points across the globe. The company sources its diamonds from the Kristall mine in the Russian town of Smolensk.
