Seiko is using an advanced solar technology that allows for coloured watch dials. Previously solar-powered watches had to have semi-transparent dials, but now thanks to advancements in technology Seiko can produce solar watches with dials in colours such as black, blue or white.

There are 19 models in the UK collection, 10 men’s watches and nine women’s models. Each is branded with the name Solar on the dial.
