Snow-set Fleur du Jour design can be worn as neck or brooch.
This blossoming Fleur du Jour neckpiece is part of Boucheron’s new Hotel de la Lumiere collection, a set of striking jewellery designs that find their inspiration in the brand’s archives.
Its sweeping shape is reminiscent of a question mark, finished with a transparent pink tourmaline pansy that blooms with a top layer of nine 3D snow-set diamond petals.
The multi-wear design pays homage to Spanish actress and courtesan Carolina “La Belle” Otero, who was rarely seen without her pansy-decorated pendant, a gift from her husband.
The Fleur du Jour can be worn as a brooch or as a neckpiece and has a flexible diamond-set stalk that trails around the neck. Boucheron says the challenge of this design was to create volume and depth while ensuring that the necklace and brooch were pleasant to wear and easy to assemble.
