SHOWCASE: Boucheron’s beauty and the beast

Jewellery house thunders into spring with a Year of the Horse design.

Greek mythology is interwoven with beautiful, beastly creatures that flit between the worlds of mortal and myth, becoming the inspiration for Boucheron’s new high jewellery Pegasus ring.

This 18ct white gold design was specially launched at the end of January to commemorate the Chinese Year of the Horse. In keeping with the legend that wherever Pegasus’ hooves strike springs of water burst from the ground, the ring features swathes of blue sapphires, amethysts and diamonds, with a sweeping tail that wraps around the finger representing not only the shape of waves, but Pegasus’ wings.

This Showcase was taken from the April issue of Professional Jeweller magazine. To read the issue in full online, click here.
