SHOWCASE: Jayce Wong is too Haute to handle

Gemfields rubies and a Deco styling make this ring a must-have.

The Art Deco trend is now firmly entrenched in jewellery design and with ruby the birthstone for July what better way to show off the gem’s colour than with this striking statement ring by Jayce Wong.

It boasts a 1920s twist, something Wong, one of the UK’s sharpest young design talents, has a penchant for; last year she launched her Gatsby collection featuring emeralds and black and white diamonds. And this year’s Haute Hues ring really gets the blood pumping. It is set with Gemfields’ Mozambique rubies and streams of white diamonds and pink sapphires.

The design boasts a central cushion-cut ruby and two trembling pear-shaped stones suspended at its edges. Time to move over, all you dancing flapper girls; there’s a new lady in town with jewels that command an audience.
