A pirate’s chest of booty is hidden inside this rock of a ring.
Well shiver me timbers, Theo Fennell’s done it again. Famed for its intricate design work and hidden treasures, this time the jewellery house has turned its attention to the sea for the inspiration for its latest one-off masterpiece.
Playing the part of the sea is a layer of faceted aqua that is transparent when viewed from above and reveals a treasure chest hidden in the depths of the 18ct white gold and diamond-studded ring. The top of the ring is hinged and can be lifted to reveal the chest set in a yellow gold sand scene, which in turn opens to reveal a booty of rough-cut gemstones.
And to keep it light and cheeky, in true Theo Fennell style, the side of the ring has been decorated with enamel to depict an underwater scene populated with that most fearsome of sea creatures, the clown fish. Yours for just £21,000, me hearties.
