Signet makes £34.1m prepayment to note holders

Sales decline has slowed further in the first seven weeks of Signet?s fiscal year 2010, with like-for-likes down 0.1 percent in the UK.

Retail group now has £153.3m notes outstanding.

Signet has made a US$50.9 million (£34.1 million) prepayment to its note holders in accordance with its note purchase agreement as amended on March 18.

Following this prepayment, the US-based retail group now has US$229.1 million (£153.3 million) notes outstanding.

Signet owns UK retail chains Ernest Jones, H Samuel and Leslie Davis and operates 554 stores in the UK.
