Hersey store offers design-led jewellery to Surrey town.
Silversmith Stewart Hersey has opened a new jewellery boutique in Walton-on-Thames, offering design-led jewellery brands and his fine silverware.
Hersey said of the new store, “It looks fantastic and I am really pleased with it. The locals are also delighted because they’ve not had a jewellery store like this before, only traditional jewellers.”
The store is Hersey’s second foray into retail, after opening a small retail space in Hampton Court, amongst the antique shops in the town.
“We thought we’d give retail a go in a place with more footfall,” said Hersey. “We’re bringing something new to Walton-on-Thames.”
The store will sell Hersey’s own silverware, gifts and jewellery alongside gold and silver jewellery from brands including Links of London, Pandora, Thomas Sabo, Monica Vinader and Alex Monroe.
The store officially opened in mid July, with a party thrown and more than fifty guests attending, with many drawn in from the street to take a look around.
The Hersey store operates with six members of staff, and will launch an e-commerce site online in the next six weeks, as part of the Hersey & Sons silversmith retail site. Stewart Hersey has been a goldsmith since 1955.
