Sotheby’s auctions Duchess of Windsor jewellery

Most valuable single-owner jewellery collection ever is valued at $3m.

Sotheby’s is to auction 20 jewels and precious objects, worth £3 million, from the collection of the Duchess of Windsor.

Highlights of the sale, which will take place in November, include the ‘Flamingo Brooch,’ the ‘PantherBracelet’, the ‘Cross Bracelet’, the ‘XX Brooch’, Evening Bags, Cufflinks, Pocket Watches, Cigarette, Pocket Watches, Cigarette Cases and Dress Buttons.

The items were purchased 23 years ago by a private collector at the legendary auction of the ‘Jewels of the Duchess of Windsor’, still the most valuable single-owner jewellery collection to ever be sold.
