Designer’s debut bridal jewels set with Forevermark diamonds.
British jewellery designer Stephen Webster has displayed his commitment to all things ethical at the launch of his first dedicated bridal collection, unveiling a range of gold and diamond jewellery set with conflict-free Forevermark and Dali Diamonds.
Webster hosted an intimate private dinner at One Mayfair in London earlier this week to celebrate the launch. He and his wife Assia Webster were joined by celebrities, designers and artists including TV presenter Christine Bleakley, Clash guitarist Mick Jones, singer Rachel Stevens and DJ Goldie.
The bridal collection – Webster’s first created solely for nuptials – will be launched on October 10. The range includes daring engagement and wedding rings that have been inspired by traditional designs with a Webster twist. They will be set with Forevermark diamonds, part of the family of companies under De Beers Group.
Webster has chosen to work with Forevermark diamonds because the stones are mined from sources committed to high business, social and environmental standards. The stones are conflict-free and their production benefits the communities and countries from which they originate.
The first Stephen Webster bridal collection will draw upon iconic Webster design features and comprise a combination of wedding bands and exquisite engagement rings in 18ct white, yellow and rose gold.
Webster said of his bridal jewellery: “We are proud to be working with Forevermark. More and more consumers are questioning the origins and journey of the things they buy. Stephen Webster likes to ask the same questions.
“Earlier in the year we visited gold mines in Peru accompanied by Fairtrade in order to see first-hand the difference between fair-mined gold and a regular gold supply chain. We have since become a spokesman for Fairtrade gold. Our partnership with Forevermark now allows us to be certain that our diamonds are responsibly sourced and cared for at every stage of their journey, as well as being among the finest in the world,” he added.
The collection will be available exclusively from the Stephen Webster flagship store in Mayfair.
