Brown & Newirth has announced the winner of its honeymoon competition as a customer of Swag’s store in Bromley, Kent.

The prizewinners have scooped a 5* luxury honeymoon worth up to £10,000 in the Seychelles, thanks to a competition run by Brown & Newirth that was open to customers that purchased its wedding rings.

The competition was launched in June last year and closed in December.

Ed Ferris, managing director of Swag jewellers, said he was both delighted that one of its customers had won, and was also pleased with the way the competition had been promoted by Brown & Newirth.

Ferris said:”We hoped we would see one of our customers win, so this result is brilliant for our customer and Swag. We started by announcing the competition to all our teams and discussed the ways in which they would introduce it to our customers, it was promoted in our stores in the windows using the B&N artwork, but always actively introduced by all of our team.”

Ferris added that Swag enjoyed strong double digit growth in its wedding ring sales in 2012, noting that the competition had helped to boost customer purchasing.

Brown & Newirth’s retail partners were offered laminated store cards, glossy brochures, advertising and website creatives to help promote the competition.

The winning couple will be flown to the Indian Ocean Seychelles archipelago courtesy of the honeymoon holiday company Turquoise Holidays where they will spend five nights at the Banyan Tree Seychelles, an award-winning spa resort. The winning couple will also have a private dining experience with a chef and two 90 minute spa sessions.

Brown & Newirth sales director John Ball said: “We have been really pleased with the support we have had from our retail partners to promote this competition to their customers. It has been a great opportunity for retailers to drive wedding ring sales and we would like to thank our competition partners Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Turquoise Holidays and the Seychelles Tourist Board.

“This was a perfect partnership between a luxury honeymoon destination and a prestigious wedding ring brand.”
