Swarovski drives UK awareness with new TV campaign

Miranda Kerr fronts advert showcasing the brand's Christmas range.

Swarovski will today unveil its first festive TV campaign in the UK, featuring the face of the brand Miranda Kerr modelling various designs from its Christmas collections.

The brand is aiming to reach a wider UK audience with the advert, which will air at 19:45 on ITV 1 and at 21:50 on Channel 4 this evening, November 26.

Kerr wears the brand’s Christmas collection in the clip, creating "festive looks" with gift-led products. The campaign is soundtracked by the song My Mind by Pharrell Williams, a song recorded exclusively for Swarovski.

Following a widespread print, digital and outdoor media campaign, Swarovski reports that it "wished to capitalise on Christmas spending power, and reach a more extensive audience via broadcast media".

Swarovski UK managing director Hayley Quinn said: "We are thrilled to unveil our first television advertisement on November 26. As a business, we felt that with such a strong brand ambassador as Miranda Kerr, it was the right time to explore new avenues of advertising, and to reinforce Swarovski’s brand messages whilst showcasing our covetable Christmas gifts to a previously untapped audience."

The campaign is set to run for four weeks across multiple TV channels and broadcasting outlets, including Channel 4, Sky, ITV Digital and Five Digital channels.

Kerr said of the brand: "Swarovski offers such a variety of pieces you can dress up or down, which makes them so versatile that I am assured to find to the right gift for everyone.”

Swarovski’s campaign follows UK-focused campaigns from jewellery brands Thomas Sabo and Pandora, launched in recent week.
