Family-run independent jeweller Burrells will open a new fine jewellery and watch shop in the heart of the ancient and historic city of Winchester.
Recently named the ‘Best Place to Live in Britain’ by The Sunday Times, the Ferris family have selected Winchester for its close associations to the company, which has its roots in the pretty college town.
Scheduled to open its doors in August 2016, the new store will sell a luxury offering of fine and bridal jewellery, alongside prominent brands Mikimoto, Marco Bicego, Georg Jensen and Hearts On Fire. Burrells Winchester will also stock renowned watch brands and pre-owned watches.
Burrells Jewellers managing director Edward Ferris comments: “It’s always thrilling opening a new shop, especially when it’s in your home town. We are delighted to be bringing Burrells and an extensive collection of prestigious brands to Winchester. There will be a new design concept for the store, which will include a private shopping suite.”
The store marks the second Burrells store in the group’s portfolio, following the business’ takeover of Burrells in Tunbridge Wells in 2014.
