New venture follows demand from clients seeking financial advice.
Jewellery insurance specialist T. H. March has launched a new financial planning venture, something it has a dubbed "a major move forward" for the company.
The new service has expanded the group’s services and has lead to the creation of a new company, T. H. March Financial Planning Limited, which will offer bespoke holistic financial planning services along with investment and wealth management advice.
The new venture is headed up by chartered financial planner Steven Clemence. He said of the company’s launch: “We identified a need for this service some time ago following approaches from existing clients looking for financial advice from a company they know they can trust.
“Having carefully researched the proposition and mindful of the effect of changes in financial regulation, we have taken our time over getting the new service exactly right, so this hasn’t come together overnight, we’ve been planning it for quite a while."
The financial planning business will sit alongside T. H. March’s main function as an insurance broker to the jewellery trade.
The group’s managing director Neil McFarlane said: “This is an exciting move forward for us and it will give added value to the wide range of services we already offer. In addition clients can be confident that it is backed by an ethical company with an outstanding reputation.”
