Innovative packaging company Talbots Group will make its debut as an approved supplier at The Company of Master Jewellers’ Spring Trade event this weekend.
Talbots will give those at the CMJ event a sneak peek of its new trade website and product range.
Launching this spring, Talbots’ new trade-focused website will enable customers to browse its collections in full, submit bespoke queries and order packaging online. Visitors to its stand can get an early preview of the new site and discuss their needs with the Talbots team.
The Birmingham business will also present its Tailor Made service at the CMJ trade event, having recently transformed David M. Robinson’s packaging into an elegant butter-yellow collection of boxes and bags. The company also worked closely with beauty entrepreneur Liz Earle on the packaging for her debut jewellery collection, Botany.
The family-run company is led by managing director Julie Fowler-Drake, the grand-daughter of Talbots’ founder. In 2014, Talbots underwent its own exciting transformation of its own, enhancing its position as the UK’s premier packaging company with its functional, beautifully designed packaging at competitive prices.
Among the new packaging lines on show at the CMJ Trade Event will be Talbots’ signature box bags, an elegant and sturdy carrier for customers purchasing fine jewellery or watches, which have already been snapped up by the likes of David M. Robinson and Ernest Jones.
Julie Fowler-Drake commments: “We are looking forward to taking part in the CMJ Spring Trade event, as it represents our first show as an Approved Supplier to The CMJ, and provides a fantastic opportunity to get to know the group’s dynamic retail and supplier family.
“Alongside our elegant stock collection of packaging, we will also present our Tailor Made service, where we work closely with jewellery retailers and supplier to create the perfect packaging to suit their personality and needs.”
Talbots’ clients include Gemporia, Ernest Jones, F. Hinds and Aspinal of London. The business scooped a UK Packaging Award in 2014, and Julie Fowler-Drake was shortlisted for a First Women in Business Award in 2015.
