Brand launches on-the-go shop, offering free brooch to shoppers.

English jewellery brand Tatty Devine has launched its first app for iPad and iPhones, offering customers on-the-go access to its online store, news and information about its London-based shops.

The colourful perspex brand, which earlier this year highlighted issues with high street retailer Claire’s Accessories copying its handmade jewellery, unveiled the app last Thursday announcing the news in its email newsletter and through social media sites Twitter and Facebook.

The app allows users to locate its stores, read its latest news and browse its jewellery collections, and was timed to coincide with the launch of the brand’s new Seahorse collection. Customers can also use the app to design their own perspex name necklace, one of the brand’s most iconic designs.

Its co-founder Rosie Wolfenden said: "This is a really exciting development for us. We have such a large online community and Twitter fan base that we wanted to give them instant access to the latest designs, sales and news."

Tatty Devine offered shoppers a free enamelled fried egg brooch when they placed an order of more than £30 through the app over the four-day Easter weekend. It will also use the app to launch sample sales with up to 80% off its designs, with the first scheduled for the May bank holiday weekend.
