Design competition winners to receive a one-of-a-kind piece.

Theo Fennell has announced the names of the Central St Martins’ BA Jewellery course students who will see their gemstone designs sold in his flagship store, as part of its annual student design competition.

In December 2013, Fennell presented students with five precious stones; an emerald cut green tourmaline, a marquise-shaped golden beryl, a heart shaped padparadscha sapphire, a pink tourmaline and a tsavorite garnet, and set them the task of designing a bespoke piece incorporating one of the stones.

Out of 14 entrants, Fennell chose five winners – Sarah Howson, Leonid Dementier, Zuleika Penniman, Tiffany Baehler and Lola (Ying) Lou – who will get their designs expertly recreated by the craftsmen at the Theo Fennell workshop.

As well as overseeing the process, the winners will see their final pieces stamped, hallmarked, exhibited and available for purchase at Fennell’s flagship store from June.
