Theo Fennell will be hosting its annual awards for graduates on July 2 with prizes presented to the best students from the Jewellery & Metal MA Programme at London’s Royal College of Art.
The awards are now in their eleventh year with winners chosen by Mr Fennell, Vogue magazine’s jewellery editor Carol Woolton and British design critic Stephen Bayley. 2014’s winners are pictured above.
There are five awards in total: overall excellence, best work in silver, best work in jewellery, and two highly commended awards.
As well as a cash prize the five winners will each receive a Silver Pavilion Dish which have been crafted by hand in Theo Fennell’s dedicated workshop.
“As a leader in his field, Theo is passionate about promoting and nurturing young talent and actively supports the future of the British jewellery and silversmithing industries, as demonstrated through his longstanding partnership with the Royal College of Art. He will once again be showcasing this year’s winning designs at Theo Fennell’s flagship Fulham Road store later in the year,” the company states.
Work by the students will be on display at the Royal College of Arts from 25th June to 5th July.
