Rapid rise of brand will bring total number of UK stores to 17.
Thomas Sabo will continue its growth drive in the UK with the opening of three new standalone stores in Edinburgh, Nottingham and Norwich.
The 40msq Edinburgh store, located on Princes Street, was the brand’s first stand-alone store on the high street – that is, not in a shopping centre – and only its second in the UK after its Kings Road location in London.
The Nottingham store will be the second to open, scheduled for September 28 at the entrance of the Victoria Shopping Centre with a slightly larger sales area of 50msq.
Harald Winzer, UK managing director for Thomas Sabo said of the move: “Nottingham has a bustling city-centre, with many fashion savvy people, who should respond well to Thomas Sabo products.
“This 16th stand-alone store is a great addition to the brand’s UK shop portfolio.”
Finally the Norwich store will open on November 1, well ahead of Christmas, on the Terrace of Chapelfield Shopping Centre in the heart of Norwich. This store will be the largest of the three at 73msq.
The brand says its expansion in the UK marks it out as a leader in the international jewellery market and will use the new store openings to showcase its newest fragrance, Glam N Soul.
Winzer later added: “Aside from Germany, the UK market is our strongest in Europe and we aim to further our expansion through shop in shop but also stand-alone concepts.
"At present we have 24 shop in shops, 15 boutiques including Edinburgh, and soon 17 boutiques with the opening of Nottingham and Norwich”..”
The new stores will hold the brand’s entire collections including is sterling silver lines, its Charm Club collection, its watches and the recently-launched Sweet Diamonds range, featuring 14ct gold detailing.
