The UK jewellery industry has just three days left to nominate for the Collections of the Year 2015, which recognises the best-selling ranges in the UK from the past 12 months.
Nominations have already been flooding in with retailers, brands and designers telling Professional Jeweller which collections they feel need to be recognised in the second annual Collections of the Year event.
The Collections of the Year will present 50 stunning jewellery ranges, with 10 brands and designers set to be crowned the 2015 Collections of the Year winners in their specific jewellery categories. The awards are open to all jewellery brands operating at a wholesale level in the UK.
To add room for a new category and make sure the final collections are best fitted to the market trends of the past year, we have reshuffled our categories.
Four finalists and one overall winner will be announced for the following categories:Luxury Jewellery, Engagement Rings, Wedding Bands, Men’s Jewellery, Silver Jewellery, Fashion Jewellery, Pearl Jewellery, Charms and Beads, Emerging Designer and our brand new category… Ethical Jewellery.
Once the 10 overall winners and 40 finalists have been decided Professional Jeweller will present the results in the December 2015 issue of the magazine.
Perfectly placed to mark the close of 2015, the project will take into account the opinions of knowledgeable jewellery retail buyers, brand managers and key tastemakers from the UK jewellery industry, rather than the end consumer, providing a clear guide of inspiring designs and which collections have been selling strongly in stores.
Professional Jeweller is seeking to showcase cohesive collections that span a variety of pieces, including rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants and bracelets.
The nominations process is be open to all members of the industry, with retailers encouraged to highlight their bestselling collections of 2015 by nominating a range for each of the 10 categories. Similarly, brands and designer-makers will be able to nominate their own collections and those launched by their peers.
Please download this form to nominate: Collections of the Year form
Once filled in, the completed form can be emailed to Professional Jeweller’sassistant editor (email@example.com).
If possible please include a high res image of the collections.
The deadline for entries is Friday October 30 2015, giving all interested parties ample time to send their nominations to the team.
Entrants are asked to nominate just one collection per category. However, it is possible to nominate the same brand or designer for multiple categories as long as they have a dedicated collection that suits the conditions of the category.
Collections that launched prior to January 1 2015 will not be considered. Collections chosen as overall winners and finalists will not necessarily be based on overall sales and as such we encourage independent designer-makers to put forward their designs.
