Jewellery designers given chance to take over store in June.
Jewellery designers have just three days left to submit their entries to win a pop-up shop in Greenwich, London, for the whole of next month.
The competition is being run as part of Jewellery Week and estate owner Greenwich Hospital and the deadline for entries is Friday 25th May. The shop is on Nelson Street and the winner will not be charged any bills for rent, rates or utility costs .
As well as winning the use of a store in Greenwich free of charge, the winning jewellery designer will also receive free membership to Jewellery Week for a year, a prize worth £200.
The entries will be judged by a panel that includes Jewellery Week director Della Tinsley, Johnny Rocket director John Pearce, Autumn and May owner Dorothy Thomas and The Guide Magazine editor Victoria Purcell.
Tinsley said: “We are delighted to be working with Greenwich Hospital to provide such an exciting opportunity for jewellers during Jewellery week 2012. To experience retail first hand is an invaluable way to understand your customer and also empathise with your stockists, enabling emerging jewellery designers to build their brand and know who their clients are. I am really looking forward to viewing the entries and seeing the shop in action."
HOW TO ENTER
Interested entrants are invited to submit the following before closing deadline of 25 May 2012
• photographs of up to five pieces of their current jewellery collection (photo size 15cm or 72dpi only)
• a brief CV
• A4 sketch or mood board illustrating your merchandising concept
• 200 words on why you would like to have a shop in Greenwich
• Enclose your full contact details – mobile, email and address
